Erhard Arendt ist seit den 60er-Jahren als Künstler aktiv. Seine Plastiken, Grafiken und Bilder wurden in vielen Ausstellungen und Zeitungsartikeln gezeigt, befinden sich im privaten und öffentlichen Besitz und sind als Kunst am Bau ins öffentliche Leben in Nordrhein-Westfalen eingegangen. Arendts Exponate sind eingebettet in eine ganzheitliche stilistische Philosophie und Geisteshaltung, die in jedem der limitiert erhältlichen Einzelstücke lebendig ist.

Light Design
Erhard Arendt is a German artist who has been active since the sixties. His sculptures, graphics and paintings were shown in dozens of exhibitions and newspaper articles. They are in private and in public possession and integrated into the public life of North-Rhine Westfalia (Germany) as art in buildings and outside of buildings. He had taught art for a long time and has been engaged in several areas. Arendt's exhibits are embedded in a holistic stilistic philosophy and attitude which is alive in each of the limitedly available pieces. The unique light objects by the artist Erhard Arendt were created individually and took between 10 and 150 working hours. They are made of clay in different sizes and illuminate indoor and outdoor spaces, disseminating the characteristic exotic-sensual, meditative-cosmic atmosphere which is reflecting from the repetitive structures and forms in a double way: in regarding the objects and in regarding the shadows and light-effects on ceilings and walls. Archaic and yet modern, timeless and crossing cultures. A full unfolding of the sand-colored, shining pieces of art is reached when they are used as practical requisites in public and private habitats, in hotels, offices, restaurants and shop windows, because the exhibits have a festive and becalming effect that remains in the memories of the observers, inviting them to meet again.
